The NDSM Werf in Amsterdam is short for “Nederlandse Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij” (English: Dutch Dock and Shipbuilding Company). It is located in the North of Amsterdam and just a short ferry ride away from the city centre. Here you will find a couple of restaurants, places to hang out, street art or just a cool photo shoot location. There is also a Hotel on a boat. It’s also a famous location for festivals or other events.
It’s definitely not worth missing any of the main attractions in Amsterdam but if you have some spare time in the city, then you might want to check out NDSM Werf Amsterdam. Especially if you want to see another side of Amsterdam apart from the canals and busy streets of the city centre.
How to get to the NDSM Werf in Amsterdam?
All you have to do is catch the free ferry behind the Central Station. It says NDSM Werf on it so it’s pretty hard to miss. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes and like I said its FREE.
(Excuse the pictures, it was bit of a cloudy day so would have been much better on a sunny one)
So here were just a few pictures of the NDSM Werf Amsterdam to give you an idea of where you could go to when you have some spare time left in Amsterdam.
Talk to you soon x
