Koreans are very passionate about baseball, and it one of the most popular sports in the country. And while the Lotte Giants are not the most successful baseball team, they are actually the most popular one.

How to get to Sajik baseball Stadium?
Sajik baseball stadium is easy to reach, as there is a metro station nearby. Just take the metro Line 3 and get off at Sajik Station. Take exit 1 and walk about 12 minutes to the stadium. Just follow the crowds, and you will also see plenty of people dressed up in Lotte Giants fan merchandise.
Depending on where you are coming from, you will most likely first take a different metro and switch to line 3. But the stadium is very easily accessible from anywhere in Busan.
Buying tickets for a Lotte Giants game
Tickets for the game can be purchased at the self-ticketing machines in front of the stadium. These open about one hour before the game starts. You can see queues in front of it, so they are easy to spot.
The ticket machines are only in Korean, so make sure you have a translator app handy. But luckily, it’s not too difficult to figure out.
The ticket prices depend on where you want to sit but can be as cheap as 6400 Korean Won (€4.24).
When is the baseball season and where to find the schedule?
The Korean baseball season typically lasts from around the end of March to the beginning of October.

There are often multiple games in a week, but make sure to double-check that you are going to a home game and not accidentally to an away one.
Food and drinks at a Lotte Giants baseball game
The great thing about visiting a baseball game in South Korea, is that you can just take your own food and drinks into the stadium. It is even allowed to take your own alcohol!
Lots of people go to Korean fried chicken places nearby, that just give you a big box of chicken, which you can bring inside. Some people even prepare their own snack boxes for the games at home.
However, they also sell plenty of food and drinks inside the stadium, from Busan fish cakes to fried chicken. It’s also not very expensive.
Some special seats even come with their own tables.
Atmosphere at the baseball game in Busan
Most makes the atmosphere at the game so special is first of all how passionate the fans are. Even if their team is losing, they will keep cheering throughout the whole game. There are songs and matching dances for each of the players, and on top of that, these songs are also super catchy. I still sometimes get one from 7 years ago stuck in my head.
Especially, in the lower parts of the stadium, everyone will be standing and singing and dancing to the songs. So, if you are visiting as a tourist, I would recommend sitting more in the upper parts of the stadium.
To conclude, if you are spending one day in Busan during the baseball season, make sure to visit a Lotte Giants game. It’s one of the most fun experiences and a great way to see how the locals spend their free time. The tickets are very affordable, and being able to bring your own food inside the stadium also doesn’t make it an expensive activity.
