1. Wake up earlier
Waking up earlier will always help you feel so much more productive. Also make sure to have a morning routine that works for you and sets the tone of the day for you in the best way possible.
If you want to wake up earlier make sure to put your alarm on the other site of the room so that you are forced to get up and try to avoid screen time in the hour before you go to bed to have a better sleep quality.

2. Get the most uncomfortable tasks out of the way first
Getting the hardest tasks out of the way first will lead to a great sense of accomplishment and it will be so much easier now to tackle the easier tasks. You also won’t have to constantly think about the uncomfortable tasks that still need to be completed.
3. Use a Productivity App
I like using productivity apps that time 25 minutes and then a 5 minute break. Those apps have helped me feel more productive in whatever I am planning on doing.
There are also apps where the time is paused if you unlock your phone in the meantime or anything like that.
4. Plan out your day
Of course, you won’t be able to stick to your planned day 100% but it does give you a good plan of what tasks to work on during which time.
Planning out my day has helped me be so much more productive and it is such a good feeling when I actually get to stick to my plan.
5. Plan Breaks and add Walks
It is always important to also include some breaks into your schedule. Especially when you are working from home. Take breaks and go for walks during difficult tasks to clear your head and start fresh.
6. Work out
Working out is one of the best productive things you can do at home. And talking about getting the most uncomfortable tasks out of the way first, try getting the work out done first thing in the morning.
It doesn’t matter if you rather want to go to the gym, go for a run or complete a home workout. Even if it is just a short 10 minute work out, working out will set your tone for the day and help you feel more accomplished and motivated for the rest of the day.

7. Put your phone away
Unless you are expecting any work calls, try turning your internet or entire phone off and put in on the other site of the room. Or even in another room to not get distracted.
You can reward yourself with some screen time if you have completed another task.
8. Drink More Water
Drinking enough water has so many health benefits but staying hydrated also helps you stay more focused and awake. Even if you don’t want to be productive, drinking water is always a great idea.
9. Make to-do lists
Make to-do lists for every day so you can get a clear overview of what you need to get done.
But don’t overdue it!
Rather include less things in your to-do list than too many so you won’t feel overwhelmed.
10. Create daily Goals
Have a clear goal of what you want to achieve on a specific day and write it down in measurable numbers if possible. For example, write 5 job applications, create 30 Pinterest Pins, etc. If something is measurable you can easier determine by the end of the day if you have achieved your goal.

11. Keep your workspace clean and tidy
A clean and tidy workspace will also help you to keep your mind and head space organised. Declutter all unnecessary documents and pens that you have on your desk.
12. Clean the rest of the room/ apartment
Not only a clean workspace can help you feel more organised and focused but also a clean room and environment in general. Make sure to organise your room on a constant basis and get rid of all unneeded things.
13. Get big tasks done before lunch
Tackle the biggest tasks first and best before lunch time. In that way you can get a great feeling of accomplishment and be even more motivated to tackle the other tasks that are left on your to-do list.
14. Follow the 2-minute rule
This rule states that everything that can be completed within two minutes or less you should work on right away.
15. Figure out your most productive time
We all have a time in which we are most productive. I just don’t happen to know what time that is for me. But anyway, if you can identify that time, try to complete your most important or hardest tasks during that time period.
16. Try not to multitask
You might think you can work on several tasks at once and you probably can but it is not necessarily the most efficient way of working. Pick one task and complete it before you move on to the next one.

17. Set deadlines
Set yourself deadlines for the tasks that are most important. If you have a clear deadline in mind it is often easier to stay focused and complete that one specific task.
18. Close tabs and documents on your laptop
If you are anything like me then you also have a lot of tabs and documents open on your laptop. They are open for a reason but they are also very distracting. Take your time to close all of these and start working on a new task without these distractions.
Also check which tabs are not necessary for the task that you are currently working on.
19. Don’t procrastinate
It is easy to say to not procrastinate but not so easy to actually follow that advice. But just force yourself to start doing a task. Starting is always the hardest part and as soon as you already started working on a task it will be much easier.
20. Set clear weekly/ monthly goals
It always helps to not only have daily goals but also weekly and monthly goals. Set your goals that you want to achieve in a month and then spread your tasks into weekly goals that are achievable.
And here were some of the best ways to be more productive and reach your goals. These tips are especially useful when you are working at home.
